This is a mess!

The inside of my case is a mess! I feel like I'm overmatched trying to get my cables and power wires in any arrangement other than chaos. I probably wouldn't mind, but I have one of those trendy windows on the side of my case. Plus, it is a hassle and a half to get in and do anything. It is like a jungle.

Any tips? The power wires, in particular have my number.

Well, I have the Albatron PX845PEV PRO which has the floppy connector waaayyy down on the mobo. What I did was I run the floppy cable under the mobo. It's tough to hide the dang power cable. Would show you my pic, but I don't know how to insert pic in here, not even sure if it's possible

I shreaded the ribbon cables in my case and it made a HUGE difference. Just take an exacto knife and VERY VERY VERY carfully seperate the wires after like every 5th wire. Then you can zip tie them into a nice neat package. I have had my cables like this for over 3 months with no issues at all.

I'm not big on the rounded or folded cables. I think you can get better results just by folding flat ones.

I put rounded cables in one of my main rigs and all they seem to do is make the cable mess worse. a good example is when you have 2+ harddrives all stacked together. with flat cables you can fold them and stuff the excess between the hard drives, but with rounded cables, they just kinda bunch up and make a mess.

For the power wires look into Spiral Cable wrap. Split Loom is nice but, Spiral Cable wrap looks great. I use rounded IDE cables and try to bundle the rest of the loose wires with cable ties and route them in an organized way.

Nice job! Wish I could do that on my power cables..... but yeah, will agree with the flat ones being better about folding under HDD's.

2 things that really help are the right angle power cable adapters for the drives and little clips that stick to the bottom of the case and secure the IDE cables once they're folded and routed. The Fry's in Phoenix has all that stuff.

My friend just went to Lowes (or Home Depot) and bout 10 feet of split wire loom and 100 4 inch zip ties. He wire loomed all the power cords in his system, and his temps in the case dropped by a few degrees, and the case looks alot neater inside. Hope this helps.

I bet my case is the worst. I have an old HP (look at sig). There are cables everywhere... I'd open it up and take a pic but i'd have to disconnect those #*%$)#@#'s

OMG nice! I've got the same case (except not with the bay cover) and my case is a mess!. Most of the problem is my case fans...the cables are everywhere.

I use alot of zip ties, I hate wires blocking my access to the mobo.
