I pre ordered on best buy.com with in store pickup. The way they do it is if you use their credit card, you get 6 month financing which is neat but not really concerned about that. On best buy orders they take the credit from your account a couple of hours after the order. My balance shows zero because I haven't used their card in a long time, but available credit reveals $423 less than my total credit. So it won't actually be charged and have to be payed until I pick it up.

If I remember correctly, Sony stated that they may delay the release in some regions to help fulfill heavy demand in the more popular regions. If that's the case, more of them may become available in the coming months. That's also probably why some people were upgraded to the Launch Edition.

Yup, Sony stated that they will delay the launch in Asia if demand in NA/Euro was there. They know they have Asia locked in and releasing the console a couple of months later there wont be a big deal.

Lol. The laugh is it's already too late. BestBuy, Gamestop, and Amazon have all stopped taking pre-orders for the PS4. For now anyway. I can still get an Xbone though. Yay?

I didn't realize you didn't pay until it shipped. Never really done the pre-order thing before. I signed up for email notification when it becomes available again.

Amazon has some now but in the last day or two they now sell game bundles. This is smart.now if you want a launch edition you must buy a game too!

Why no gamestop and just pick it up

Credit cards act that way. When you use it your available credit lowers due to pending transactions, but once that transaction is posted to your account 1-3 business days later your balance should reflect it. Either way I'm pretty sure you will still be required to make payments once posted. Usually with zero percent financing they just won't charge interest on the balance for that item, but if you owe one cent on that balance after the 6 months you will have to pay all of the interest retroactively. That's what they want and how they actually make money on it. Many people who apply for store credit cards don't actually pay it off in time and get slammed with interest. Better to just use a major credit card with a far lower interest rate and just pay it off quickly or better yet just pay cash.

I could be wrong and you may be right in your case, but it would be a first for me to see it handled it like that and I have lots of experience with credit cards.

No worries, I spoke with someone at best buy and they mentioned that the finance option starts when I pick up the console. I also will not be able to make any payments until I have the item in my possession.

I would have liked it if I could make payments currently so it would be payed off in a month or two but I guess I could have used another card if I wanted to do that.

GameStop has this plan. A few people I know would do this. They pre-order it, and pay it off weekly or monthly until the item comes out. It's actually pretty nice.

that's what i did put $100 dwn and will just pay it off overtime until its released

I'll just put money in my savings equal to monthly installments that I would pay since it's no interest for 6 months. I should have it payed off and enough saved to get 2 or 3 games at launch. I guess I'll watch videos of knack, get that and watch dogs, bf4, maybe cod ghosts too.

Watch Dogs is a day one launch game. NFS I have no idea. For drive club I'm gonna try the PSN+ edition they give you for subscribing to PSN+ and see how I like it before I commit $60 to it.

I'm definitely going to pick up Knack. Seems to be on everyone's list. Looks like it's a blast to play.

Drive Club looks great but I might skip it for the time being in favour of GT5. I'm still kind of bummed there's no PS4 version, but knowing Polyphony, development probably started as a PS3 launch title.

the PSN+ edition is given as a bonus to PSN+ subscribers. It's like a taste of the game. I guess they are hoping that enough people enjoy it and will buy the full game as a result of being able to play it online and see what it's all about.

Oh ok well I haven't had psn plus and most likely will not sign up for it until I have my ps4. I heard that they will have full game demos too. I think that will also get more people to buy games such as these.

The PS+ Drive Club edition is suppose to be the full game minus some tracks and cars. They said they will go into detail more about it later. I think they want it to really take off as it is suppose to be a pretty social racing game and a good way to get more people interested is to give a part of the game away so it can get more traction.

They have full games demos on PS+ already. Not for all games, but for the ones it does offer it, you download the entire game and get to play for one hour as if you owned the game. IMO it is a great way to gauge your interest in a game as a lot of games don't have demos and a lot of time demos don't seem to represent the game well. I've used this feature a few times and like it quite a bit.

Right and If you are like me and hate going to a bunch of review sites to see who gives a better representation, I get a way better perspective from a demo than I do from YouTube or reading what someone else thinks.

I tend to go by the user reviews here of most games. If you choose to buy the game must it be the digital version or can you just go get the disk ? If digital was a bit cheaper I see more incentive.

They should drop the price of digital games by ten bucks but not for all games. For example I'm really enjoying the last of us and I believe games like that deserve full price no matter what.

After reading a bunch of things and watching some videos, I placed pre-order for Watch Dog and Knack as my PS4 launch games.
