even tweezers can cause the head to stay in. you should scrape it off (with like a CC or such). Also save the tick to have it checked.

Once when I was young, I had a few chigger bites on my sac. red, swollen, itchy as hell. Had to walk around with calamine lotion for a week or so. that sucked.

Keep an eye on the location, early signs of lyme disease is a ring around the bite area. I got lyme disease when I was a kid, I played in the woods in central Florida too much I guess. I had to take some antibiotics and it went away pretty fast. It only becomes really bad when not caught early.

1. There's nothing to scrape off. Just a red spot where it was, as if I had removed a scab a little early.

2. The body is in the drain. It was too big to be a deer tick anyway, I think.

Thanks - gonna keep an eye on my sack. My physics teacher junior year had lyme disease - he says he always feels really tired and crappy from it.

Yes - if you didn't remove it correctly, there's a variety of bad things that can happen. Go to a minor emergency place or a dr office if you're in your home town.

I got it when I was around 12, I took some antibiotics and it went away. I have led a normal life since then. Sometimes I feel like I am more of an asshole because of the lyme disease though.

Been there done that. In fact one time after a day of turkey hunting in northern Wisconsin in the spring i pulled 33 ticks off me. They really aren't a big deal as long as they aren't the tiny deer ticks which are the ones that carry lime disease.
