Tiger Tyan MP hardware monitoring problems

Hi,
I just installed a Tiger Tyan MP (bios ver 1.03) with two AMD 1800 MP. I am using Globalwin CAK38 heat sinks on the CPU's. The Heat Sinks have 6800 rpm fans. When I check the hardware monitoring in the BIOS, the temperature shows up as 75C for both the CPU's and the fan Speed shows as 3553 and 3600 which are wrong. The same heat sink / Fan assembly are showing (when installed on an single CPU mother board, with AMD 1800 XP) temperature as 35C and 6800.
Are the hardware monitoring numbers from bios right or wrong?

What single-cpu motherboard?

THe Tiger MP reads the internal diode, where 99% of the single-cpu AMD boards read socket-thermsitor. You can't compare the two sets of temps.

Correct, the TigerMP is reading the XP internal diode.

THe probable reason why your fans are running so low: The fan headers on the tiger MP probably aren't capable of delivering the wattage necessary to power those fans. I'd be careful and get a 3-pin to 4-pin adapter before you burn out the headers on your MB. The lower speed is probably the cause of your 75C temperature readings on the MP.

6800rpm fan sounds like a delta black label. do NOT plug this into your motherboard--you will shortly draw too much current across the header and blow the board.

When in hardware monitoring in the BIOS hit any key on your keyboard and it will reset the temps.
