We just bought a house where I replaced all of the door knobs.
A lot of the latches didn't align with the strike plates.
After tightening all of the door hinges, BAM, they align and the doors move much smoother.
So if you're bored some evening, get that screw driver or impact driver out and tighten those hinges.
While you're at it, go ahead and lubricate the hinges.
Silicone spray is fast and works quickly, but removing the hinge pin and smearing it with lithium grease will last longer.
The grease will also help prevent the dreaded hinge dust from getting on your walls and trim.
