Time and Date Resets???

My time and date reset on every restart of my system. The board is fairly new so I don't think it is the battery. I have attempted three different bioses and reseting the cmos, but have not been able to solve this issue. Every other bios setting remains except the time and date.

It resets to Jan 1, 1980 12:00 AM. This was the time and date that appeared when I first booted the system. I am running Win ME on a K7T266. Everything else is running fast and stable.

Although the board is new, the battery may be old. I think spending a few bucks for a new battery is the next best step to make. If that dosent work, then you may have bigger problems.

personally, I would replace the m/board battery even though you say the board is fairly new!

What does this mean? What type of problems are you refering to?

I will get a new battery tonight and give it a shot. What other symptoms should I look for if the battery is/isn't bad?

I just replaced the battery and no luck.

Any suggestions?

Where is all the help that is supposed to be found from these forums? I guess everyone is too busy talking about how much of a rip-off Geforce3 video cards are and the great deal they got on a 19 inch KDS monitor.
