TNT oldie & drivers

I´m done. I don´t know what to do anymore. Help!

Following configuration:
FIC VB601-Z (Intel 440ZX chipset) motherboard
Intel PIII (Katmai) 450MHz slot 1
256MB PC133 SDRAM
Creative Graphics Blaster Riva TNT 16MB video card
Windows 98SE (4.10.2222A)

When I try to install newer version of nVidia detonator drivers, Windows refuse to detect the video card (only as standard VGA graphics). The latest version that works correctly is 7.50. So now I´m using original Creative drivers, which are based upon nVidia 6.34. I already have the latest BIOS flashed either in the motherboard (MT414, v4.51PG Award) and video card (2.0.4.6).

I just don´t know what to do now. Any suggestions?

To get the newer drivers to work, you may have to uninstall your previous drivers by going to ControlPanel>Add/Remove>Nvidia Display Drivers and then after rebooting select the PCI VGA Display Adapter and then reboot once again. Then install the newer drivers. Now, make sure you're using the right drivers. The WinXP/Win2k ones won't work on Win98. A last ditch effort would be to format the hard drive and then do a clean install of the OS.

Seems it helped, I´ve rebooted few times and it found the card and runs ok with new 23.11 drivers.
