To Canadian HD-DVD owners

I was browsing for cheap BRD and found a rack of HD-DVD and was surprised by the pricing. 4 for C$20.

This is at HMV of all the places. Of course selection will vary by store. I picked up 8.

Don't know anything about US HMV.

They are also running a promotion (not sure if it is HMV exclusive) where you can bring in a dvd (any dvd) and get 7 dollar credit towards a BRD in a Fox /MGM collection (100+ titles).

Wow really??? dang thank you for this. I actually went to Zellers and then Giant Tiger believe it or not. I found a huge box at Zellers, all HD-DVD titles were $6.99 and same at GT. Limited choice but I picked up 15 of them and I am very happy I did. Most of those I wanted any way. I have a BR as well sure is nice to get some more mileage on the HD-DVD player.

They are department stores... at least in Ontario and Quebec.
