And I should bother posting because....?
Fixed.
Just making a statement that I don't give a rat's ass that some ex drug dealer thug of a rapper died because some other thug drug dealer rapper wannabe shot him..
The fact that you people glorify these guys is pathetic. They are/were a waste of oxygen.
i love how the people on this board whom dislike rap music always put it down, yet the people whom dislike whatever kind of music you like don't say crap about it ...

does anyone here believe his popularity was bolstered by his death? i mean, take big l for example. same thing, he dies, and everyone starts saying big l was great and this and that. but were these same people saying this stuff before their death? at least in the case of pac, people were saying he was destined for greatness and had so many potential. but for biggie and big l, it seems they were noticed in their circles and the surrounding area, but they didnt reach popularity on a wide-scale factor until their deaths. im just curious if anyone has thought the same thing. perhaps its because im from the west coast and i wasnt too exposed to his music and was a little biased. and also, i my be biased in my beliefs because i am in no means a biggie fan.

Nothing was said about disliking rap music, dumbass. Just that Biggie was an "ex drug dealer thug of a rapper". That's 100% accurate.

He didn't say anything about the rap, he put down the rapper, and the people who glorify them.

thats what i think it is. i mean, i was aware of his few singles, but a lot of people are familiar and can listen to all of tracks over and over, and i was never able to do that with his music. but i sure heard a lot of pac here.Originally posted by: purbeast0

okay so lets ask him then ... Astaroth do you like rap music?
i wonder what the reply will be ...
his comment was just unnecessary for this thread. sorry if i'm not a perfectionist on these boards and don't comment %110 correctly on everyones posts, i didn't realize this was english class.
typically when someone puts down a rapper because he's a "thug gangsta type" they don't like rappers in general which means they don't like rap ... typically though

I'm a big rap fan. I like the music, but that doesn't mean I have to like the people that make it. A lot of them are just idiot thugs. The only sad thing about Biggie's death is that his own dumbass behavior caused a waste of such good talent. I also like the music of R Kelly, Michael Jackson and many other people, but that doesn't mean I approve of their very questionable lifestyles.

EDIT: btw, R Kelly and Michael Jackson are not rappers.
