Its not that tough if you roll with a good group.
Tough has nothing to do with it. I find it annoying. If they want a pvp zone make it pvp. Don't setup a mechanic that promotes trolling and griefing.

What I've also seen is if one person on your team goes rogue, usually the other players in your group will also go rogue, if you've been playing with a group that stayed together most of the time.Tough has nothing to do with it. The amount of hits you take too from ammunition also doesn't make you die instantly. I've unloaded a whole clip in a character's face before and it did nothing. I don't know if they are planning to change this.I won't say that its a fun mechanic but its not something that's game breaking. You don't lose anything you brought into the DZ and you can only carry 6 contaminated items so losses aren't huge, just slightly fustrating. At the end of the closed beta I was able to go in the DZ alone and get gear out most of the time.
I do wish it wasn't 100% chance to drop everything you pick up, maybe have it start around 50-70% drop chance and scale up the more items you are carrying. That way you have a better chance of at least getting something but a full pack will have a higher risk to go along with the reward. Attaching the bag should also be instant, surviving 90+ secs only to be killed during the 5 secs it takes to put a bag on the drop line is dumb. Especially since you can't cancel the procedure to move or defend yourself.

During last beta, it was easy to bait others into going rogue. Fire 3 bullets at another player and you have a very short countdown to go back to normal status, if they fire back 4, they go rouge.
I'm more interested in the PvE myself, as I've never been a PvP player in RPG-type games. I'd maybe consider it if I had a couple people to play with, but it seems impossible to play PvP by yourself. To me that's shitty that you pretty much need a team to play PvP, but whatever, like I said I was more interested in PvE.I agree it isnt game breaking. PVP isnt my interest in this game. I think there is a lot of potential for the PVE side to keep us entertained. I just wish they had a different mechanic to foster pvp. Make everybody red so when we call in a drop we dont have to sit there wondering if somebody or group will be a bunch of griefers waiting for us to load up. Or maybe implement a noteriety system. If you kill enough people you are not allowed back in the safe zone. Right now it is just ripe for griefers and that wont help the game long term imo.
Yea I enjoyed pve more than I did in destiny. There seemed to be more variation in exploring because its NYC and they had different quests.I'm more interested in the PvE myself, as I've never been a PvP player in RPG-type games. But I enjoyed the beta and didn't even experience the DZ, so I think the full game looks promising, at least to me.
That's cool. Nice to know there's people like you guys to offset the griefer douchenozzles.From that point we picked up anyone we came across as we were roaming around if they were friendly. One guy created a group on psn and will most likely be adding the same ones we played with when the game is out.

I have it set to redownload on the ps4. Just have to remember to turn the damn thing on or maybe it will do it while in rest mode.Open beta is this weekend and you can pre-load through UPlay now, its ~26.5gb. If you still have the closed beta installed there is a ~1.2gb update to bring it to open beta.
It will be similar to closed beta with some fixes/tweaks, an additional story mission, and anyone who participates gets a bonus item unlock for the full game.
All character data from closed beta has been wiped and all open beta character data will be wiped, everyone will start the release version with a clean slate.
Got to love it when someone wants to ruin the experience before even making it to open beta.yeah, when we went into the dark zone we picked up quite a few stray guys around us. Unfortunately there was a cheater in the area getting everyone from a distance, but we found a large group and tracked him down! It was, to be honest, pretty awesome.
I have seen the acronyms PVP and PVE in this thread. No idea what they mean...
PVP = people vs people?
PVE = person vs environment?
I need to try the beta this weekend so I have a clue what you're talking about and how the game operates.

Good info too. I swear that I went through the controls and setup before playing, as I do with any new game, and mine was already push-to-talk, but I could be mistaken.A small FYI for anyone who didn't play in closed beta:
The Microphone is set to on and open by default. Anyone in close proximity(a few meters) can hear anything you are saying. I'd recommend setting it to push-to-talk in the options.
