dont mess with the dpi setting in advanced, it should stay at 96dpi, just enable "Large Fonts" under the appearnce tab. It really helps alot if you do it this way, at least with my VX924 with the same size pixels it dose.

That's what I did, but it totally screws up the my start menu and other windows.

Instead of using "Large Fonts" in Windows you can try increasing the font size in text applications that you use. For example you can increase the font size in IE and Firefox. You can increase the zoom in Office applications like MS Office. It's what I did when I had my 19" mostly because larger fonts are easier to read. Do it for each app and it wont screw up your start menu etc.

Yeah, but the text still has the weird look. I got my RMA number and I need to find time to ship it back.

I just ordered a dell 2005fpw for like 430ish something... stupid environmental fee and tax. I'm gonna leave my crt on our governator's lawn. I just hope I don't run into issue such as backlight bleeding, stuck pixels, weird color sheens, wavy lines, the monkey in the closet, etc.

I wouldn't recommend going to large fonts, try changing your windows fronts from Georgia to Verdana...they are both LCD enhanced fonts but the verdanan series is slightly larger...that's what I use on all my lcd's.

Is there a setting for subpixel order in the cleartype settings? It sounds it was doing the sub pixel rendering backwords for your monitor. IE it assumes r g b but your monitor was b g r. Check out http://grc.com/cleartype.htm for more information than you ever wanted to know about cleartype and subpixel rendering.

I haven't tried that sub-pixel program but through cleartype tuning, it tells me that i'm using RGB and when I switch it to BGR, it got worst!

isn't It? Too funny, I tried to get mozilla to work. Then it dawned on me... I need to use IE. SIlly goose.

Just want to let everyone know, that the tranisition from crt to lcd is now complete with my 2005fpw in front of me which can't get any better then this. I'm pretty happy that it doens't have any stuck pixels or huge back light bleeding. Thanks to kmmatney for recondmending it to me.
