Either way, video is irrelevant.
McMurderers didn't know he walked into the construction site. They saw him running after the fact and that's when they called police and then formed a posse to hunt him down.

Yup. 2 months, 2 months too long.

I heard last night that in the initial video that's actually the 3rd time they approached him in the truck. The other two times he turned the other way and continued to jog. That explains why they blocked that time and jumped out with a gun, they were pissed he wasn't stopping.

Shit man, even if he took something, it's should NOT be justified to corner him at gun point. You called the cops, you let them do their thing.

Let say he took a steaming dump and then proceeded to rip out all the wiring and shoved it up his rectum.
That's a 2 misdemeanors...maybe 3 if Georgia has weird sodomy laws on the books.

If the value is under $500 then the anally inserted electrical wiring is in the same class as a speeding ticket.

Since speeding places lives at risk (because Statistics and science) and it is also a misdemeanor, can I form an armed posse to go hunt down that asshole that passed me on the Parkway a couple of hours ago?

Is said person:

A: White - No, no you can't

B: Minority - Yes, just fly your confederate flag high to ensure others know your on the up and up.

Based on info that has been released,
The spotted him running on the street.
They grabbed their guns. Got the other guy and proceeded to hunt him down.

A Satilla Shores resident told The Brunswick News they had seen him jogging several times in the neighborhood off of the U.S. Route 17 where he was killed. His father told the PBS NewsHour on Thursday that his son often took the same running route.
....

On Feb. 23, Arbery was jogging in the Georgia neighborhood of Brunswick as his family and friends say he often did. As Arbery was making his way down a street during his run, McMichael was on the front yard of his home, spotted Arbery, and believed he was the man who had committed several recent break-ins in the neighborhood, according to a police report obtained by the PBS NewsHour.

The following is also from the police report: McMichael then “ran inside his house and called to” Travis McMichael, his son. He said, “Travis, the guy is running down the street, let’s go.” The father told police he went to his bedroom and grabbed his .357 Magnum handgun and Travis McMichael grabbed his shotgun. The older McMichael told police he believed he had seen Arbery “the other night” and that he had “stuck his hand down his pants” which led them to believe Arbery was armed.

The father and son then got into a truck, followed Arbery, and “attempted to cut [him] off,” according to the police report. In response, Arbery “turned around and began running back in the direction from which he came.” A third man attempted to “block” Arbery in with his vehicle but was “unsuccessful,” according to the police report.

Gregory McMichael told police he then jumped into the bed of the other truck and that they continued to follow Arbery. McMichael told police they shouted, “Stop, stop. We want to talk to you.” They then pulled up beside Arbery and a struggle between Travis McMichael and Arbery ensued.

The confrontation ended with Arbery being shot at least three times and dying on the street where he had just been jogging, according to the police report.

Side note as to why Arbery would stop at new home construction.
Arbery worked at times with his father’s landscaping company.

IF he was thoughtful enough to realize that the new construction was important info to pass along to his father, a pit stop to review the house as well property makes perfect sense.

You want to see racism at every turn that is your problem. There are more hate groups recognized by the ADL, FBI, and other groups which are non white than there are white. There numbers are also higher. Even still, those groups are tiny over all. What we have these days is the media wanting to decry everything as racism to stroke fear in people. The media does this for money because it works. It has always worked. Fear and sex sells. When people get bombarded by this all the time they start to see things as bigger than they really are. This is why people thing guns in this country are such a huge problem when they are not when it comes to total deaths or even where gun deaths not due to suicide typically happen.

It ends up you start to look for racism or see every experience through through the lens of racism everywhere. It certainly doesn't exist like that. I am sorry if you feel so bad in your life that you think everything has to be racist. I can recommend you take a break from forums like these, watching news, and just go enjoy life for some perspective for a bit.

As for your comments on the original story. Have you not read what I wrote earlier? If Arbrey committed no felony crime and was just looking around a house that was under construction while he was on a jog then hell yes he has a right to defend him self if two people with guns come at him regardless if they were white, black, asian, hispanic, or whatever. I certainly would. At the same time I may not have immediately attack in defense right away either if they were yelling at me to ask me a question. I certainly would have been upset and yelling at them to put their guns away if they want to talk to me. At least that is what I would do in that situation. Then i would say I am calling the cops on them for brandishing their weapons at me for no reason. That is just what i would do, but i also know that different people react differently to a stressful situation. I am not saying at all Arbrey's reaction to the situation was wrong in the sense that it was unjust, but it did lead to him losing his life as part of the situation as a whole. And don't go spouting what if crap about he wouldn't be dead if those guys hadn't chased him down with guns either. That is a given and is a stupid thing to say. I have stated numerous times already the McMichaels should never have chased down Arbrey to confront him with guns drawn. It was one thing to call the police and follow him in their truck without ever getting out until the cops arrive.

The McMichaels committed a serious criminal mistake and will go to jail for it. Arbrey tragically lost his life over it. Then we have the media and people stroking race hatred tensions over this which may or may not be the case. If it is the case, the McMichaels will serve even more time for it.

Also, I want to throw this out there, my wife and kids aren't white either. My neighbors and some of my best friends aren't white as well. I grew up on Hawaii where being white was the minority and I got attacked brutally several times growing up there for being white. I know more about racism then most of my black friends that really haven't experienced it first hand. Yes, there are black people that live in this country that haven't ever been attacked for their color of their skin. So try calling me a racist
Look, I won't call you a racist, but I've noticed a trend by some people to try and shift some of the blame for what happened Arbrey's way, it's pretty shitty look TBH. When I watch the vid I see him round the front of the truck and try and slow his pace, aghast at the son who has the gun pointed at him at very close range. At that point he's been shot once and fighting for his life, questioning his response with "if it were me" scenarios becomes somewhat laughable, no one should ever be put in that situation.

I've walked through unfinished houses myself just out of curiosity, I guess it's trespassing by the letter of the law and I get it, sometimes people will steal AC units or appliances if given the chance. Kinda tough to do on foot.

It's a wonder I made it through childhood. I freely admit that the concept of private property just did not register with me.

I spent a couple of summers crawling around in houses that were being built since ours one of the first ones in the development.

The numbers don't add up with your claim of "There are more hate groups recognized by the ADL, FBI, and other groups which are non white than there are white."
Please quote the part that supports your claim.

It doesn't support his claim. This is just like the claim he made earlier that non-whites commit more "violent hate crimes" than whites. When he talks about race, he makes shit up. Which should tell you exactly where he's coming from.

It's a common attitude among many. The black guy MUST have done something. They will look for anything to shift blame away from the white guy.

In the Botham Jean murder people made a big deal he had pot in his system. Like that had anything to do with Amber Guyer gunning him down in his OWN FUCKING HOUSE!!

Black people are the only people on earth that get blamed for being murdered.

These two idiots weren't afraid of him except possibly in an existential sense -- meaning that they might find his very existence a threat to their sense of privilege. This is gut-level, knee-jerk hatred in action.

So, the DA first refused to have the suspects arrested, then a few days later recused herself so that they couldn't be indicted any time soon. Why am I not surprised?

And these county commissioners who are now throwing her under the bus, where have they been since this crime happened? It sounds like they knew what the DA did, and took no action.

The appropriate thing is for the state to take over the county government until new elections can be held, which the state will supervise for fairness and impartiality. Then the state should institute an ongoing watchdog committee over the police and DA's office. Meanwhile, the DA and anyone else who colluded in this should be fired, and indicted if at all possible.

It’s Georgia, the sitting governor helped engineer his own election while he was Secretary of State.

Yes I am being somewhat hyperbolic.

Since speeding places lives at risk (because Statistics and science) and it is also a misdemeanor, can I form an armed posse to go hunt down that asshole that passed me on the Parkway a couple of hours ago?

Maybe technically yes? (minus the armed part)

This is a Judge who is taking an anti-McMichael position and arguing that citizen's arrest doesn't apply, but she states:

"It has to be a misdemeanor or a felony that you witness or you have immediate information about.”

She also states:

“And the other important part under Georgia law is that if you do detain someone under citizen’s arrest, it has to be reasonable force. They came loaded with guns.”

Which is likely why the McMichaels are claiming they thought the victim was armed. A condition like "reasonable" is going to have some wiggle-room.

Now, I dislike the idea of allowing citizen's arrests for misdemeanors almost as much as I despise the felony murder doctrine (which, while it's likely to be used against the McMichaels here, disproportionately affects minorities and the poor). Besides the plain wording of the law, there's also likely to be a bunch of case law that has an impact. If it is indeed legal to perform a citizen's arrest for a misdemeanor, I expect the prosecution will point to the absurdity of going 1 mph over the speed limit and having a non-LEO take you into custody for it.

I think this is going to be a very interesting case from a legal perspective.

I am not sure idf this was mentioned yet but right from the start the Police tried to pass a false narrative on the assassinated mans mother......this really is disgusting!

BRUNSWICK, Ga. — When the Glynn County Police Department arrived at the scene of a fatal shooting in February in southeastern Georgia, officers encountered a former colleague with the victim’s blood on his hands.

They took down his version of events and let him and his adult son, who had fired the shots, go home.

Later that day, Wanda Cooper, the mother of the 25-year-old victim, Ahmaud Arbery, received a call from a police investigator. She recounted later that the investigator said her son had been involved in a burglary and was killed by “the homeowner,” an inaccurate version of what had happened.

Barnhill is a Georgia peach
"Olivia Pearson knows what it’s like to be caught up in the criminal justice system in southern Georgia. In 2016, a local district attorney’s office indicted Pearson, a Black grandmother and civil rights activist, on felony voter fraud charges and threatened her with years in prison after she helped a first-time voter who didn’t know how to use an electronic voting machine.

The district attorney who pursued her case was none other than George E. Barnhill—a guy in the news this week for having failed to prosecute the men who killed jogger Ahmaud Arbery, a 25-year-old unarmed Black man."
