Are they going to be adding anything to this game anytime soon? It seems a little bare bones. I like it but I could see myself getting bored quickly. And for people that buy gold I bet you would get bored even faster, once you unlock everything and use it for a little while it would just be another pointless shooter.

It's an FPS (or in other words, PVP) the fun in playing is that no two matches are the same.

I'm gonna watch for deals. They gotta run like cheap gold weekends or double xp weekends or something? Right? I played more today. Its alot of fun. I remember trying to play Tribes 1 on my 56k. Good times. Its fun once you realize to hold down your ski key basically all the time. There is something so much more instinctively fun about projectiles versus bullets.

Some new maps would be nice at some point, but yeah, other than that not sure what the poster is looking for. Maybe new classes and weapons? I hope they don't go overboard with that stuff, because the balance is pretty decent right now.

Hi Rez said they want to release new stuff every 3-4 weeks. They do a class at a time, adding in new primary, secondary, and belt items as well as a skin. I wouldn't be surprised if we see some new perks as well overtime.

I would think so. Once the initial launch users plateau they'll probably do stuff like this to get people to either give it a try or go back to it if they've stopped playing.

I'm thinking it'll be pretty similar to how Valve supported TF2, which was pretty well. Unfortunately everything that is added in Tribes is going to have to be earned or bought. This sounds bad, except in TF2 you needed to have achievements completed in that class for a while... then eventually could earn stuff with random drops. So really in both cases you can eventually get what you want, it just takes time.

Just unlocked raider. I realized how bad I am with the hitscan weapons. But in all honesty, I've always sucked at FPS's.

That said, most of the explosive weapons also have blast radii a lot smaller than I remember in Tribes.

Not sure that there are any hitscan weapons left .... except maybe the shotguns ... you should practice leading your targets even with automatics.

Well then it's not really the same concept, because the skiing around is what makes this fun IMO. The movement mechanics are quite different from other shooters and the game is faster because of it.

Umm if you say so. The Skiing is just to move around faster..its not something that makes or breaks this game. Guess you did not see ps2 videos to see.

Oh ya. Ill probably be trying any fpsmmo that comes out. Until one becomes successful then everyone released from there on out will just be a ripoff of the successful one.

I'm so afraid this game is going to suck my money away $30 at a time... Infiltrator+Raider upgrades are so awesome!

I still stand by my initial advice. Buy the $30 bundle, only use the gold to unlock the 100k exp items or skins. When making the purchase you become an VIP member and with that bundle you get a 30 day booster, so you make a lot of exp real quick.

I've only bought the MIRV launcher for my Jugg with gold and with exp I've unlocked a perk, all the rest of his stuff (besides second secondary weapon), unlocked all the class, and have started upgrading the Doombringer and I'm still sitting on 110k exp with 24 days left of the booster.

the 100k items almost seem to be designed to be bought with real money. i cant imagine how long it would take to accrue 100k xp even being a vip.

Motion sensors are a god send to kill those annoying ass infiltrators. So funny to see them pop the sensor and my turret open up. Then a thumper to finish them off. But some maps it is just effing impossible to defend the base from rape. Spawn points put you in a disadvantage to get to your own generator or there are too many entrances to defend.

Try playing a heavy class. Those plasma guns are hell to deal with.

Sometimes heavies are hard to deal with too so it's nice to have a counter that isn't just another heavy.

Didn't say plasmas make the game unplayable, I just said there's a lot of animosity toward plasma users. How fun it is to play the game while half a dozen players go on speculating on your mom's sexual habits.
