I'm not advocating anything, im simply asking where to get it and trying the beta, if people like the beta maybe that would get them to BUY it. Thats the problem, Windows 2000 has that $200 price tag on it, not many people are going to read reviews about it and say hmm i'll go spend $200 and see if I like it. Whistler will be more than $200 I imagine, people do want to know what it's like but how are they going to find out without paying to try it. For example: I think Windows ME was a bunch of crap, everything was downloadable, except of course the movie editor, a couple of things added in, and oh yeah the startup screen. I tried it and I sure am glad I didnt pay for it, it would lock up at least 2 times a day, and I'm glad it had system recovery but I never needed until ME, so that was a + for ME. Windows 2000 on the other hand was great, I worked with several computers that had this and that made me want it. I highly doubt I will pay for Whistler unless I can see how it is first, or the beta and see how its going to be.... The way I see it (speaking for the majority) is, you have to pay for it to satisfy the maker and buy them another mansion, but if you're unsatisfied ur screwed out of a house payment. Take care.
