Trouble ticket program?

Free or paid. Whatever, as long as it handles job task stuff I'm trying to imagine.

I'm uncertain as to legitimacy/reliability & quality of what searches are pulling up, so could definitely use some input suggestions.

Trying to implement ticketing system here at work so can more easily stay focused on tasks, get job done, make sure we are communicating & on the same page with stuff.

At work we used Numara's Track-It but have since replaced with with their Foot Prints software. I don't use it much because I'm not in our Help Desk, but from the limited time I've dealt with it, it seems fairly robust.

I've also used Mantis and have been very happy with that as a freeware app.

Do you need bugtracking or Incident / Request / Change management software? Both are 'ticket systems' but they can be very different.

If you need an I/R/C soft I can recommend OTRS on Linux if you want free. Very expensive is the BMC Remedy or the HP solutions but these are probably waaaay overkill for someone who's asking recommendations
