I recently added a second hard drive for backup and I had hoped to use the 'Task Scheduler' in Win98SE to set automatic, unattended weekly backups. So far I haven't been able to get it to work properly. The sheduled backup works fine with regard to 'Task Scheduler' opening the 'Backup' utility in Win98SE, but the process of the actual backup does not initiate. The 'Start' button in the 'Backup' window must be selected manually before the operation will begin. Obviously this does not qualify as unattended since you have to be there to click the start button. Is there a way to completely automate this operation? I already have selected the 'Run Unattended' option in the 'Backup' program, but that only bypasses the various popup dialogue boxes...it doesn't bypass the 'Start' button and let 'Task Scheduler' take control of the initiation command. Anyone got a handle on this?
