ok, here's what's going on. i've had this western digital passport (black) hard drive for only about 9 months now and already it is having issues with freezing. for some reason WD only makes diagnostic tools for this hard drive for windows, and seeing that i'm using a mac, i seem to be sh** out of luck. when i play movies from the hard drive they pause frequently and i have to click the play button to resume them again. my roommate downloaded the diagnostic tools for me from WD's site and tried to run it with my hard drive, but it said it would take something like 19 hours to complete. the hard drive won't even allow my roommate to add movies to it from his pc.
since i've found nothing on the WD site anywhere that could be of assistance, could somebody please help me? perhaps there's something i skipped over during my search for answers. your support will be much appreciated for this is becoming extremely irritable!
