Hi
I've built the following computer last week, and every time i try installing a drive for any graphics card i get the below message. (I used my friends AMD 7970 and also get the same problem)
I keep getting the following error message: "NVIDIA Windows Kernel Mode Driver, Version (any) stopped respending etc"
Again, i only get this once i try installing the drives for any card.
Graphics card: Gigabyte GTX 680 2GB GDDR5 Dual DVI HDMI DisplayPort PCI-E Graphics Card
Chip:Intel Core i7 3820 3.6GHz Socket 2011 10MB L3 Cache Retail Boxed Processor
Motherboard: Asus P9X79 PRO Socket 2011 8 Channel Audio ATX Motherboard
SSD : OCZ 120GB Agility 3 SSD - SATA-III - Read 525MB/s Write 500MB/s 85,000 IOPS
HDD :Seagate 2TB BARRACUDA 3.5" SATA-III Hard Drive - 7200RPM 64MB Cache
RAM:G-Skill 8GB (2x4GB) DDR3 1600Mhz RipjawsX Memory Kit CL9 (9-9-9-24) 1.5V
FAN:Arctic Cooling Freezer 7 Pro rev 2 Socket 775, 1156, 1155, 1366, AM2, AM3 Heatpipe CPU Cooler
POWER:OCZ ZX Series 850W 80+ GOLD PSU Fully Modular PSU
CD DRIVE:LG BH10LS38 10x BD-RW with DVD±RW DL & RAM Lightscribe SATA Blu-Ray Drive - Retail Black
I've tried different rams, reseting mobo/ updating to newest Bios but still keep getting this error.
Does anyone have an idea if it could be software or hardware? All the above was brand new.
Also to note, i tried reinstalling the windows and found out that my computer would not reformat my SSD until i used another pc...could this be the fault of the motherboard?(Windows is now installed again)
Thanks for the help
