Herculiner is considerably thinner than herculiner in that aspect so it would allow the bed to become gouged more easily, but the texture is totally different too. The rhino liner and stuff is smooth on the surface while the herculiner is very rought and textured, something I love for grip when walking around, but it all depends on your purposes. The price difference was enough to make me go herculiner. Application was very easy. Rough the surface up with sandpaper or a rough scotchbrite pad (not the same kind as you use in your kitchen btw) and then clean the surface with acetone, mek, or some sort of nice solvent like that to remove waxes and oils, then glop it on and let it dry. I like the look of it, although if you live in a dusty area it will look gray in a short time between washes Don't get any on you because its not coming off easily!
BWAHAHAH Cyberian what do you drive? That link circulated all around the jeep forums not too long ago
