1. He will tweet that no one laughed. That it was fake news. That the truth is everyone applauded and many people came up to him after to tell him on how great a speech it was.
2. He will then spend 3 days trading insults with some random person in the entertainment industry.
3. He will keep tweeting about how horrible Jeff Sessions is until everyone stops talking about the Trump speech and outlets start bumping up stories about how weird it is that trump keeps insulting Jeff Sessions.

It seems like this could have been poster verbatim in another thread... or a hundred other threads.

Trump's cognitive dissonance will permit him to interpret this as, "The UN people were laughing WITH me at those loser Democrats and everyone else who opposes me." He has to be right. He has to be on top. Nothing else can get through his filters.

This isn't as weird as John Bolton (literally) waving a copy the U.S. Constitution at other diplomats, telling them that it proves the United States is a sovereign country. I am sure the baffled diplomats could have pointed out that they were aware of that, but what good would it have done?
