Your country could spend way more on health care and education, it just chooses to throw it at billionaires and corporate welfare.
And the military. The US has thirty bases on foreign soil, at a cost of 150 billion per year. Shut every one of them down.

That would increase our costs by 100 billion and put as at a strategic disadvantage.

It seems like Trump is going at this like we are America, and we own your asses. You had better listen to us or

Yes!

After, we should build a wall around America. Then we will be safe.

If I were head of NATO, I’d be setting a canary trap for Trump this week: feed him some bogus info about NATO upgrading its choice of aircraft, or something...see if it turns up in Russian intercepts.

That’d be interesting. I mean, disturbing.

He'd probably blab about it during one of his speeches, "And NATO is changing their aircraft. Why? Isn't what they have now fine? We sell and buy and make and use aircrafts. Total waste of money and taxpayers! No upgrade on my dime!"

Has nothing to do with safety. It's all about money and the US working overtime to give as much of it away as possible.

Trump has repeatedly said things which make it sound like he thinks that NATO..instead of being a collective defensive alliance, is some sort of protection racket. Instead of saying our NATO allies should spend enough on their own military forces to contribute to the collective defense. (as previous administrations, Republican and Democratic alike, have done), Trump has implied that our NATO allies need to be paying us.

"Nice little country you have there. Be a shame if something were to...happen to it. Capisce?"

This is what happens when you elect a president who is life long Gangster and bully.

Ukraine wasn't part of NATO. So it got salami'd and part of it gobbled up, because Russia has finally got the soulless ambitious autocrat it'd been missing ever since old man Josef keeled over. Which is also why you don't hear many Latvians, Estonians or Poles wondering whether or not NATO is obsolete

This is the first time I see Fox peddle this narrative as "ok".
He *is* going to realign US with Russia and god knows what comes after that. The US is going to get Putins version of "democracy" and you lot are going to go quietly into that good night..
Yea. We need more nukes.

Don't believe anyone who says we just need to get rid of one person or party. The people who created my nation assumed that people who held office would have some principles and hadn't accounted for how parties and influence would shape people more than right or wrong. Consequently we are inherently trustworthy and don't let anyone fool you. This goes beyond Trump and Republicans, this is a core flaw in our "security" of democracy. No party is immune, and if anyone says otherwise they don't care or don't understand.

You are better off spending money wisely on defense because we can only remove people who can arise in another guise. At this point you must ask yourself "what guarantee do we have this won't happen again" and the answer is "none".

Consequently we are inherently trustworthy and don't let anyone fool you. This goes beyond Trump and Republicans, this is a core flaw in our "security" of democracy. No party is immune over time and we have no mechanism to prevent this and don't let any party fool you. This is a severe crack in our foundation.

I am not so sure about that, I think maybe Trump has been worked(by Russia) for a lot longer than we suspect today... Impeach Trump and I am not so certain another one stands ready to pop up. Best case scenario is probably something like that, and then a fucklong healing period where Fox and Sinclair gets tucked up by the roots as a threat to national security.
I am a globalist, I have to work/think forward.

Trump is an anomoly, but is he really? We never had the influence of social media before nor governments working it so well. What possible assurance can we offer you when the only fix is eliminating those in power and rewriting the Constitution?

I'd not trust us with your safety and security if I were you. On more trivial matters? Fine, but we can turn completely around again and again with one election.

What do you do with the 100k troops?

Build the Wall!

The answer is we let them go. What people don't understand or don't want to is that a nation engaging in quasi-imperialistic policy cannot do so from only their nation. The logistics becomes impossible and that means influence as well. Europe allows that possibility and why we want those bases, at least those who want a military presence. In the long run the US will suffer worse than Europe. You just need to get a modern nuke force up to speed. You may not want one, I don't want you to need one, but you had ought to get over that so you don't wish you had.

Disrupting world trade and disrupting NATO which may eventually break up the alliance. With more powerful countries like nuclear armed France going their own way. If trump isn't Putin's puppet he should be.

"We're not so innocent" says the traitor.
Truth is treason. Why do you think truthiness was invented and now perfected? On one side is a whipped-up frothy mob mentality figuratively and literally wielding torches. Quite frankly it scares the bejeezus out of me.

I'm moving back to a ritzy monoculture that I grew up in to help my dad out. It's creepy there, and I know that many of my friends will be looked at with suspicion because of skin color. One world, one human specie.

Hmmm. After the AT server update I'm getting grammar corrections now. It wants to change "out of" to "outta," and "wielding" to "welding." Bizarre.

If Russia becomes our ally in ultimate assholeness, who needs anyone else? Crimea to Russia and the South China Sea to China. It just is now.

That is probably Putins number one goal, to get US influence out of Europe.. If he can shake up EU as well on the path that is just a bonus. He is man handling Trump to effectively navigate US foreign politics in on it self. You see the US and Russia in a new axis down the road? Hell no. Once he is done with Trump you are getting dumped HARD.
Implosion by Trump. I am just worried about all the nukes you guys have.

Assholeness is subjective... In my opinion it is all about freedom. The second your vote doesnt count for anything at the ballots anymore thats the second it is game over. You've got incoming.

What it is, is a colossal dickhead fucking over the established world order for some reason. This reason is perplexing. Does dickhead think china is going to back down? This is a country that has over a long period of time told everyone else to go and fuck themselves.

To the point that they have essentially seized a major shipping way and deployed military assets to control it. In other words it will require major military action to dislodge them and a positive outcome from a western perspective is far from guaranteed. The thing is dickhead has some legitimate complaints about the reds but that is what the world trade organization is for. Weird times that we live in.

The world needs a shake up. No, actually, it needs an enema. Too many globalists have been pushing us around for too long. Shake, rattle and roll. In the end, we'll be just fine. I understand the strategy well. As an America first kind of guy, this works. The other countries we help protect need to pay up.
