Law and order party puts convicted felon DJT as their presidential candidate has a nice ring to it.
Won’t stop 70 million Repugnicans from voting for himLaw and order party puts convicted felon DJT as their presidential candidate has a nice ring to it.
My words were clumsy, because I wasn't trying to imply any involvement by the FEC, past or future. Nonetheless, it was reported that they dropped a probe into the Stormy Daniels payment in 2021 because the agency is feckless, and that's because half its commissioners are Republicans. No, the FEC has no input here and regardless the FEC would never make a determination that this isn’t a violation in a million years. 0% chance of that.
Yeah history is fun in college. In HS and before it's a bunch of rah rah America the greatest thing ever crap where we ended racism in 1980.I never enjoyed reading history in grade school. I eventually took an American history course at a junior college during a summer in order to fulfill a university requirement. IIRC it was pretty much 19th century, and I quite enjoyed it.
Per CNN it appears he'll still be able to vote.."Even Trump won't vote for himself. He can't vote since he's a felon."
"Now that I convicted, I'm sure to win the black vote." -Trump probably.
In an interview with CNN, Neil Volz, deputy director of the Florida Rights Restoration Coalition, an organization that works to help reenfranchise formerly incarcerated people, predicted Trump will have little problem voting since Florida actually defers to the jurisdiction of a felony conviction as to whether a felon can vote. In New York, after a law passed in 2021, any convicted felon who is not incarcerated is eligible to register to vote.
Orange on orange - it's a good look Hahahaha
As you say people get away with shit the FEC oversees because they basically never rule on anything. A truly useless institution. They basically throw their hands up and say ‘we can’t decide!’ on everything. I don’t think the FEC dropping a case means much because they drop every case.My words were clumsy, because I wasn't trying to imply any involvement by the FEC, past or future. Nonetheless, it was reported that they dropped a probe into the Stormy Daniels payment in 2021 because the agency is feckless, and that's because half its commissioners are Republicans.
IANAL but I believe there was an underlying federal campaign finance violation that justifies these felony charges. But I also recognize that not everyone agrees on that point, even if NYS law says you don't need a conviction on the underlying crime. Anyway, no sense in game-playing out the appeals, which will take a long time to resolve.
The more salient point is that there are swing voters that do care that Trump is a convicted felon, and how many of them are in the battleground states. Only time will well.
ABC News says he's unlikely to get any prison time as a first time offender
I did jail time for stealing a dollar as a 13 year old. Spent five or six days in juvie. If you were convicted of 34 felonies as a first time offender you'd go to prison.

@gothuevos You were wrong yet again….
Vlad hasn't told them what to say yet.Went to Fox New for the last 20 plus minutes. Not one peep.
Does that include ones who showed no remorse, found in contempt repeatedly and attacked every aspect of the system and process from the start?Next time the average person is convicted of 34 felonies let's see if the will stay out of jail until all appeals are processed. Let's see if that same person gets access to the USSC.
