Laugh all you want. I did a contract job in a hanger in Linden, New Jersey in the late 90s where his S-76 helicopter was parked with the nose wheel off and nlg literally chained because he hadn't paid his hanger rent.

That's funny, since his presidency I've learned he's an even worse businessman than I used to think. It wouldn't surprise me if he lost the chopper, and those cost a lot of $$$ lol. After NY's done taking his shit I'd love to watch a live stream of the auction just to see everything that's up for sale. But from the sound of what I'm reading, most of his properties are 2nd mortaged and the rest of his shit is whatever the rich person equivalent to a pawn shop is. So I don't know what they'll be able to get.

This shit reminds me of a Mormon I worked for in the 80s. Crookedest mofo I ever worked for. He was a small-time land developer...lived from one bank loan to the next because most of his business dealings were barter/trade transactions, not actual cash. I remember one loan he was trying to get, the Chevy Blazer he drove had 4 different liens on it from different lenders...each of them for more than the thing was worth on the used car market. ALL of his properties were the same way. His employees...got paid by check for the 40 hour work week...but if you worked overtime...and most of us worked at least 5x10, he wanted to pay the overtime in "trade credit." He "owned" a few building lots in a development on Bear Lake...that was his favorite trading stock...but he also had trade credits with several of the local businesses...he did work for the owners, they gave him "store credit" that he could use to pay his employees with...or even trade in other transactions.
I've never been so happy to quit a job in my life...even though I walked away from thousands of $$$ in owed overtime that I couldn't collect.

That was then, this is now. The TSLA story is materially different 18 months later. The question everyone is now asking is whether Tesla is still worth over $500B? I'll leave the answer to you.

Although you're right $500M isn't a whole lot.

Last I heard, this GFM had raised less than $2M total. It'll take a long time to come up with $450M because rubes are paying with their SS checks.

If there really was a line of rich people willing to pay for Trump's civil penalties, it would have happened already. Rich people like to keep and grow their money, which is why they vote for GOP tax cuts in the first place. Their political donations are "investments" in crony capitalism, not donations for scoundrels who can't pay their bills.

This was a few weeks ago and GFM already clarified that their service can't be used to raise money for judgements. Nothing collected here will be going to that dumb bitch that created the Fund or to Trump.

The one I want seized first is his jet.

Then the "iconic" ones like Trump Tower and M-A-L.

Letitia James' is pushing back hard on Trump's claims he can't get a bond. Pointed out he presented no concrete evidence about what assets he offered the bonding companies, who was contacted, their actual responses, what collateral he offered, etc. Plus his motion is based on an affidavit from Trump's insurance broker, who the trial judge specifically found not credible and an attorney for Trump's company.

Just waiting for the NYT story about how getting your shit seized is actually good, somehow, politically.

https://www.nbcnews.com/politics/do...tting-cash-bond-growing-frustrated-rcna144351

A source close to the Trump family said Trump’s defense team is gaming out its options, including ways Trump could appeal Engoron's ruling without having to put the bond up and what would happen if they can’t secure the required sum. There’s also the belief that seizing Trump’s assets or liquidating them at "fire sale" prices, as Trump has warned, could prove to be rocket fuel for his campaign

Seems dumb to own the jet. I would think leasing would be the smarter way. Watch us fine out that's the reality.
My understanding is that he doesn't own the jet. He was forced to sell it during one of his bankruptcies and leases it back.

So ... Donald can't come up with half a billion? Ivanka and Jared should have 2 billion laying around .... Can't help daddy out?

Why are there no Republican multi-billionaires offering to lend Trump the money? Those wealthy Republicans are happy to vote for Trump again, their calculation is that he will get into office and enact a tax cut that will make them richer and that half a billion will pay for itself. Doing so requires them to loan money to a crook who lies about everything, including his finances. Most billionaires by now should be super-vigilant about being fleeced, especially by con-men with a long-history of dishonesty. I see Paul Manfort is back in Donalds orbit. I'm sure he can do some tax fraud, witness tampering, illegal lobbying, and other crimes that he was imprisoned for on Donalds behalf. Trump has built his entire business career on the premise that laws are merely suggestions. Vlad Putin, Elon Musk or Jeff Yass or some other Republican moneybags will soon step forward to loan Trump money in full confidence they can expect repayment. Lol!

So in addition to being a traitorous POS, he's also a filthy beggar.

How low can this orange skinned, slimy, cancerous dotard go?
Give him time...he'll show us. I really expect Putin or some other foreigner to put up the money for his bond. If he can get re-elected, it would be a great investment for them.

I'm surprised that the Scots haven't just burned down those two clubs by now. What are they waiting for?

I think the writing is on the wall that his chances are slim to none.

It really is a hoot how Trump's minions keep insisting how Trump is God's gift to the nation while Trump keeps proving them wrong every time he opens his yammer and utters something treasonous or outright flabbergasting to lol at.

Religion and Politics.. two places where you will NEVER change any minds unless they're already having doubts themselves.
