Using pcgeek's logic no one should ever be given a speeding ticket, it's a victimless crime.
By his logic had the government learned Bernie Madoff was lying to his customers they should have done nothing until he actually defaulted on one of them because until then there were no victims. Maybe he would have come up with the money!

It’s a ridiculous idea, that you can lie to people to make money so long as you fulfill the terms of the agreement that your lies got you. Thats a direct incentive for everyone to lie on every loan application, which is of course why it is illegal.

By your logic he has been defrauding people for decades. Why was it a non-issue until he became political?

This is a confusing question because it seems to be saying legal impunity is a reason for legal impunity.

Simple question: should it be legal to lie to your counter parties for financial advantage? Yes or no.

Government officials have limited capacity to investigate all crimes, especially more complicated financial-based ones. So if you're going to do illegal things, perhaps its best not to bring a giant spotlight onto yourself.
Also maybe those departments that investigate crimes should be funded better, so they can investigate more crimes, and maybe catch people like him before they rise to the point of apparent immunity.

Easy instead of paying off politicians to tell their accountants to look the other way, he started taunting them!

You can guess what happened next..

Just look at Mark Zuckerberg.. only an idiot would believe he's clean but he doesn't piss people off and somehow makes it look like he's doing a social benefit to others..

Billionaire 101.. but maybe your GOD never was one.. instead he took Throwing Ketchup Around 401

BTW if you feel so bad for him..

The civil fraud was based on 3 transactions

One was June 2023
One was may 2022
Did not bother checking on the last one but my guess the statue of limitations has not ran out yet

Far from political

From my understanding the stock is already shorted to hell by basically everyone on earth.

Yep

Yesterday the borrowing cost to short sell the stock was reported to be at a ~150% annual interest rate ~ basically every share held by an institution that can be shorted, is shorted, with potential major short sellers bidding the cost sky high.

Yes, almost not worth it even if you nail the amount/timing. As of right now, I'm not playing with it again.

I tried to short 10 shares yesterday when it was at $70 and Schwab said there weren't any available to short.

Even if you believe them going after Trump is political, there's plenty of evidence of a ton of illegal shit. So it's not this witch hunt the GOP and MAGA have been whining about. If the GOP had evidence of a single crime committed by Obama they would have went after him the same way. Hell without a stread of evidence they still wanted him taken down. Now the GOP trying to impeach Biden is strictly political. I'll bet money there will never be 1 charge brought up against him, all they have is rumors and crazy-sounding conspiceries. Trump has 91 felony charges, or whatever the hell the numbers at now, it's A LOT, all because he's an idiot and a crook. And apparently, if you believe the GOP every judge and DA who's going to be prosecuting Trump should be in court themselves because they're traitors and all lying.

If Trump didn't want to go to trial for felony shit, he shouldn't have done felony shit. And his words are giving the Dems all sorts of extra ammunition. Just when he seems to catch a break, he'll post some dumb shit on Truth Social that digs his hole deeper. He has never been held accountable for a single fuckin thing in his life and has always had $$$. So he thinks he can say and do whatever he wants, his sense of entitlement needs to end. I'm all for outrageously high rulings like the $455 million so he might finally fuckin learn something. And if he doesn't learn, then he can go broke and rot in prison for all I care.

But unfortunately, with the way his massive cult worships the ground he walks on, I honestly don't think he'll ever learn he's not God.

1. Hard times creates hard men.
2. Hard men creates good times.
3. Good times creates soft men.
4. Soft men creates hard times.

You are step 4. Soft in the fucking head.

holy fucking shit.

how did you get this dumb?

do you think a lifetime of fending off lawsuits for you know, defrauding people, was seen as a non-issue?

Do you actually read? Like, words?
If he's not convicted of any of it then he didn't do it. But if he didnt do any of it then you can't investigate him in the first place, clearly.

Also we shouldn't lose sight of the fact that one big reason why the NYC DA did not indict Trump and/or his family members was Trump was bribing him.

Appeal bond in the civil fraud was posted, so AG James doesn't have to slap any liens on properties yet.

And as expected, if you were lucky enough to short DJT last week after the IPO bump, you get to ride the stock down, down, down.
Business with not quite $4M in gross revenue last year is worth Billions like its namesake owner? LOL!

Mr. Hankey paid this bond. Chubb the the EJC one. Hmmmmmmmmmm

“Don Hankey, whose fortune stems from car dealerships, real estate and financial services, is chairman of Knight Specialty Insurance Co., which posted Trump’s bond on Monday, three days before a court-imposed deadline. It gives Trump a lifeline by putting a $454 million judgment on hold while he appeals.“

Well the potential future president being on the hook to a single person for nearly $200 million seems fine.
