Who cares about saving animals? I care about people dying. Animals die for a purpose, people on the other hand, I don't think do.

life is life, what makes a human life more valuable than that of a flea?

And to LordMagnusKain, I would just like to applaud your level of knowledge of the Bible. Most Bible thumpers know just enough to start a flame war.

Also, the Bible teaches to witness, which means to spread the word of God, so anyone telling him to STFU can STFU themselves, because he is being faithful to his belief. And whether or not I agree with it, I applaud him for doing it. Shows that people still have purpose, far too many people walk around without any.

peta protestors have a purpose too, do you applaud them?

Sure, why the hell not.

Depends on where you order it, but yes, medium rare is usually a good steak.

I should have made it more clear but I'm talking about a Christian God. And please don't bring in the Christian Crusades, because I will stand by the thought that Christianity saves more lives than destroys.

I was talking about belief in religion as a general, no particular god. Saying that his belief that could possibly kept him from going postal is something I disagree with because so many lives have been lost in fighting for beliefs in ones own god.

I like sourdough and wheat. Roasted garlic for a sandwhich. That black bread(not rye) with soups or stews.

I'm not talking about higher powers. You never know who will be there to save your ass 5 years from now. I think a purposeful life is one that in someway works to expand/continue on, their civilization. So I suppose if a person doesn't do that, then they don't have much of a purpose for the big picture.

Actually, come to think of it, I tend to like almost all kinds of bread depending on the situation, except for white.

They were telling him to STFU for being arrogant, not for being a witness.

in that view witnessing is arrogant, and thus I was being told to be quiet *though vulgarly* for witnessing.

I?m no better than anyone, I?m just trying to spared the goodness that I?ve been touched with.

Does anyone actually like their steak black? Never seen that anybody actually get that one.

Also, what does it mean when you get a "rare" steak? Hand you a slab straight off the cow?

It depends on what you value. Obviously we don't have the same set of values so it would be redundant to debate civilizations and fleas.

It wasn't the that you were witnessing. It was how you went about it. It was a arrogant, vs. a humble, approach.

Well then, what makes a civilization and a fleas worth the same/different (whatever your belief might be)?

Jesus never told us to hurt anyone, quite the opposite. I don?t need to ?fight for God? or ?Kill the heathens? even if you are told you are not allowed to speak of God you do not fight, you walk away and brush off your feet, moving on to the next place.

Many died for Christianity without ever fighting back, it is the religion that man builds on top of the Salvation of God that is corrupted by human flaws.

but what makes a civilization worth more than the life of a flea?

This is the crux of the issue. When nothing is sacrosanct and there is no God or definable Good, then we might as well give the life of animals the same weight as the life of a man, or all of civilization. Without the focus on doing Good for people, those looking to do good look in the wrong direction.

i don't think that there is any set value on anything, at least none that we can discern, from an objective standpoint.

from my own standpoint, i assign values however i feel... which is probably a result of what things i perceive to benefit me the most.
