Trying to format under windows xp

Hello all,


I want to format my harddrive. I have Windows XP Pro installed on my pc and I can't uninstall it. I tried usin the add remove program icon in control pannel. I also tried booting from my Win 98 cd and going into dos. there, I tried to format, but it would not let me. Also i tried to use the osuninst file to uninstall XP but it said I was a missing a registration file.


All I want to do is format my harddrive.....can someone please tell me how this is possible when using Windows XP Pro????

If you are NOT using NTFS (ie still on FAT32), simply grab a Win9x boot disk (available from www.BootDisk.com), boot up the system with that and then perform the format.

You can also boot up from the WinXP CDROM and format using that too.
