You should have received every single penny declared to the IRS after taxes.
You are gonna have to declare 2.8k a month on your tax report. The smallest audit on your file will bring this fraud up.
I don't know if being on a green card ups the chances of being auditted, but it sounds risky.

I gave a months notice at my last job and it was hell. during the 3rd week I was unmoitivated, I knew I was leaving and just didn't want to be there. the forth week was just hell.

The only thing that worries me is that I would be slave driven for the entire month (not that they haven't been doing it already). I have a lots of things to pass down. I am the only one doing maintainance of website, adding new products, setting up SSL, advertising, and forums.

and yeah, I don't think I'll be motivated to work at all during that time.

How do you consider yourself a "partner"? If you are a partner you should own part of the business. You are an employee and nothing else.

I wouldn't give him a days notice. If he wanted to replace you do you think he would care how it put you in a bad position? No he would kick you out in a second and not think twice about it. Why should you do anything different for him?

So are you gonna pay taxes on 2800/month while getting 1400?
If he is reporting that to IRS, aren't you gonna get that on your W2 also?

Yeah I'm waking up to that piece of fact.

Working on that. right now that's really the only thing that's stopping me from walking away right now. If I do, he would be screwed because he has no idea how to do the website stuffs, and there will also be a 50% decrease in his sales man-power.

Wow, that sounds like a really good plan.

So far, I have a potential contract based job lined up that would last a couple of months and pay wayyyy better than what I am getting now. I am also actively looking for job and had a couple of phone interviews but not real ones yet.

Thanks you so much for your support guys!
