Two wireless antennae

The motherboard that I?ve got is an Asus P5W DH Deluxe, and it comes with a wireless antenna built in. Recently though I got a new router, the Belkin Pre-N, and a new wireless card to go along with it since everyone said you really needed both of them to really unlock the potential of the Pre-Niness. Prior to installing the new card on my desktop, I uninstalled the drivers for the MB antenna, but lately I?ve been wondering, what would happen if you had both going at the same time? I know it sounds like a weird idea that would probably just result in Windows getting confused and the two antennae running interference on each other?s connection, but has anyone ever tried this? Does anyone know what would happen?

Sure you can use it at the same time as long as they are conneceting to two different Networks.

No that's the thing, they wouldn't be. Although come to think of it, I've got an old router lying around, what do you think would happen if I hooked it up to my current router and then had them both transmit wirelessly? Would there be any kind of speed increase?

Two Card can work at the same time while connected to two diffrenet Networks.

Same time does Not mean together.

What you are looking for is called Teaming, it can be done with special Networks Cards using Server OS.

Otherwise it is one of the Most Common Network noobies "pie in the sky" wishful thinking scheme. :shocked:

The only way you'd probably get a speed increase is if you changed the metrics for one of the connections, so for example you could be transferring files to a network server over one, while using the other for web browsing, etc, or if you teamed the two adapters together to form a single virtual adapter.
