Friend of mine wanted to upgrade his video card he is currently running TNT2 Vanta on Win2k. He ended up purchasing a MSI 8855 Geforce 2 TI. After installation we found the card would lock up on the desktop or openGL. I made sure that he had all his updates and got the latest 4in1's from Via. Next I installed his new Geforce 2 Ti in my comp (Shuttle Ak31) with no issues. Then I took my geforce 3 and put it into his comp but still it would lock up. Then I grabbed another geforce 2 pro threw it in there and still a lock up. So I think it would be pretty safe to assume that his video card wasn't the issue. After playing for a couple of hours I finally gave up and decided to install XP. Same Problem different OS. I decided maybe it was some sort of issue with the NT kernal so I installed ME. SAME PROBLEM, DIFFERENT OS. I surrender, I'm currently trying to get a hold Radeon to see if it would lock up there also, but probably won't have one for a couple of days. I've probably built atleast 50 comps in the last year, so I'm not at all new to this. PLEASE HELP!!!!!
