typical GT430 temperatures ?

Greetings -
Just installed a GT430 (the EVGA dual DVI version).
Only one monitor currently attached.
At 'idle' (i.e. - not gaming or watching a movie), CPUID HW Monitor indicates the temp in the mid-to-high 50's (54-57°C as I type this).
Jumps to high 60's when watching a movie.
The fan stays at 65% in either case.
In comparison, the System temp is 37°C, and the CPU (a Phenom II X6 1090T) is 36°C. Ambient temp is, oh, 75-80°F.
Bottom line -- the GT430 temps strike me as high.
I'd welcome knowing what's typical, and whether I may have a faulty card.

What's your load temp? During games, etc..

Funny you should ask.

Earlier this morning, after ~30 seconds of Furmark, the GPU was up to 100°C
(at which point I killed the test before it killed my card).

Subsequently, a moderator at overclockers.com asked what my airflow was like,
and whether the GT430 was 'sandwiched'.

Mea culpa.

After moving the Delta44 card one slot over to give the GT430
room to breathe, temperatures dropped ~20°C at idle, and >20°C
under load (maxing at 77°C after 10 minutes of furmark).

Scythe Shuriken.

It's a little out of its league cooling the X6 1090T
(recently upgraded from an X2 Regor 250).

I've got a GeminII S on the way.

Heatsinks and cooling devices vary wildly among various GT430 cards since some are 1 slot and others are oversized 2 slot coolers. Personally, the GT430 is a low budget card and as long as its under warranty for the next few years, I wouldnt worry about it Especially since most processors can safely get much hotter than the temperatures you are reporting. And by the time your warranty ends your cards resale value wont be all that great anyhow; so either get a new 430 on ebay for pennies or spring for some low cost uber future tech that has yet to exist.
