Self built back in mid '03
AMD Athlon XP 2800+
MSI motherboard (I forget which specific one)
ATI Radeon 9700
512 MB DDR RAM (gave my other stick of 512 to my friend)
Maxtor 7200RPM 120GB
18.1" Gateway monitor (there's no option for that size)
Windows XP 32-bit

My computer is getting a bit antiquated but it gets the job done. Well not completely because I can't play anything 3D on it. That causes my system to crash after about 2 minutes. Once I land a job I'm going to do an upgrade.

Best stat thus far:

Are you running multiple video cards? (Total Votes: 75)
No 70 votes 93.33 (%)
Yes - SLi 1 votes 1.33 (%)
Yes - Crossfire 1 votes 1.33 (%)
Yes - not SLI/Crossfire enabled 3 votes 4.00 (%)

On a high end hardware forum, basically no one runs SLI/CF.
Now if only nV/AMD would cease trying to push SLI/CF on us

They aren't really marketing to people like us.

They are marketing mostly to people who go out and buy a Dell XPS 720 with an Intel Core 2 Extreme cpu and SLI'd 8600 GTS cards.

As my single 8800GT wipes the floor with them....

Yea SLI/CF is for the gullible/super rich

I was surprised by the fact that about 25% of people had Vista 64 installed as their primary OS

That was a fun point and click poll, but one heck of a mouse workout!

Who are the people with 10+ chassis/case fans in their computer case?

Too bad I voted in this poll before adding my new 4GB kit. It would have been kind of amusing to be (seemingly) the only person on AT running 6GB of RAM .

This computer is done as soon as my E8400 arrives tomorrow:

Intel E8400 (Hoping for a 450x9 = 4.05GHz clock with Tuniq Tower and AS5)
abit IP35 Pro
2x1GB 4-4-4-4-12T Crucial Ballistix Tracer (Also will be OCed obviously)
EVGA 8800 GTS 512MB
2 x 320GB Seagate 16MB SATA HDD in Raid 0
250GB WD HDD
LG Blu-ray/HD DVD combo drive
Antec 900
Cooler Master Real Power Pro 750W
Vista Premium x86

Still trying to decide whether I need a stand alone sound card. This setup is replacing my 2 x 7900GTX SLI rig, I couldn't justify going SLI again now with GeForce 9 right around the corner as well as DDR3 being released but no DDR3 SLI motherboards. This setup should hold me over until the 9 series and affordable DDR3
