Ok, now, I've gotten most of my hardware to work on Ubuntu but there are still a few "small" problems. The first of which will be treated in this post.
I plugged in my USB wireless adapter (generic) which has a PRISM2 chipset. I attempted to get this to work using NDISWRAPPER but no luck. So after some research I found something called, WLAN-NG. I thought, GREAT! this is made for my device, I mean it's made for prism2 devices and it has a USB driver which should make my adapter work ... wrong.
I went through the readme file and followed all the installation instructions but to no avail. I googled for some other help and found a few pages which gave me contradictory instructions. I followed most of them and found that althoguh the card was connected and "airfart" found that I was connected to my AP (akseli) I couldn't ping anything, not even my AP.
Could someone please type-up or post a link to a full HOWTO that actually works for this type of cards? Thank you
