Yeah. I figured Ronda was going to take it in the first round, but I imagined it would be more than "Ronda approaches and throws 8 punches. Fight over."

Should Ronda even be fighting women? I mean, it is obvious nobody is on her level. Let her fight 135lbs men. I'd still put money on her.

She's awesome but she needs a loss to become a truly great fighter so she can actually have to change things up for a change.

She'd lose every time that way. She can't beat a male fighter.

There are just no good women fighters to challenge her. Her legend is going to continue to grow by fighting basically scrubs. Not her fault there are no good opponents, but it doesn't mean she's some sort of legendary fighter, either.

The problem is, she has gotten beyond what anyone can do. Unless she pulls a Silva and starts show boating and goofing around, I don't see any women fighters beating her. Though, hopefully someone does. Competition is always good.

Well, sure... but she needs more women to rise to the challenge. She needs to be humbled, all the greats do, but she needs someone to do it. Until then, she's just going to keep being beast. I love this gal.

Some of the small fighters, I'd say Ronda could beat. I mean, from her training she looks like she actually has skill. Even in her judo days, she was great. I think some of the the like bantamweight guys would be a real fight.

Exactly and that's the problem, we all know how her fights are going to end now. Even though she's going to knock out her opponents quick, everyone is going to get tired of it. Also she's not going to be able to grow as an fighter when every fight is ending like this.

I'd argue being that dominate in your weight class/fighting class is exactly what makes a legendary fighter...

I think the problem is, while she is becoming a legend, the women in MMA are pretty low on the skill level. Simply because of how new the sport is the competition level is fairly poor. Not taking anything away from Rousey, she medaled at the olympics in judo, she is a great athlete and fighter, but it is similar to the guys that dominated the NBA in the early years. Bill Russell is easily the greatest basketball mind ever, but as far as athletics wise, he is a bench player at best in today's NBA.

Womens MMA is far more advanced than what the men were doing in the first few years of the UFC.

But, that is because the men MMA had the platform and foundation of the sport laid out. The first UFCs were essentially gauntlet tournaments. It was a one day bracket you had to go through. Fighting 4 or 5 times a night simply isn't realistic in today's MMA.

Ronda will not stand and strike with Cyborg. She will just grab her, take her down and take her arm.

Compared to what?
I think what he's trying to say is that Rhonda's skill level is leaps and bounds better than any other female MMA fighter right now.

I mean, her last four fights has lasted a cumulative 2 minutes and 14 seconds I believe.

And the argument could easily be made that's why she's a legendary fighter ^_^

Assuming you have a legitimate class to begin with, with legitimate competition, then yes...dominating makes you a legend.

I think it's obvious that Ronda doesn't have any competition yet. Women fighting like this is a relatively new thing, and the numbers of hopefuls just aren't there to have enough legitimate fighters make it to UFC.

Right now, it's like Wilt Chamberlain back in the 60's, scoring 50 points per game. Nobody could guard him. He was a freak, ahead of his time.

Ronda may or may not be a freak athlete, but she's ahead of her time, for sure. I'm thinking that by the time the women's sport grow to the point that she has legit contenders, she'll probably be beyond her prime and it'll be one of those "we'll never know" comparisons. Like Michael Jordan vs. Lebron. (MJ would win, btw)
