Okay guys, January 11th is my girlfriend's and my first year anniversary.

Laugh all you want, but I'm in trouble. I DO NOT KNOW WHAT TO GET HER. I know she wants jewelry, and probably some kind of ring. I just don't know what kind of ring. Here are the things I picked up on:

She likes real gold.
She likes diamonds.
Uh, just real stuff.

Okay Ferengis, find the best deal on a some kind of jewelry I can get by January 11th. HELP NOW. MUSH.


EDIT: OKAY GUYS!

I got something today. It is a set, I really don't want to describe it and I'm trying to get pics of it and us together. My girlfriend reads these boards so I'm not posting pics of what I got her. I will tell you guys later or you can PM me if you really want to know. I will try to get pics tommorow.

Okay, we went out to dinner last night to Red Lobster. This is what I gave her:
10k white gold ring with Tanzenite (sp?) three stones and then two diamonds on the side.
Then there is a matching necklace with one Tanzenite stone and diamond on the bottom of it.

She was thrilled when she saw this. It was a good choice, she loves it. Thanks guys.

Yeah, no offense, but your girl's a little weird, "wanting" all that stuff. You two should be happy celebrating the occasion, any gifts should be a bonus, and should not be expected. For my ex's first year anniversary, we celebrated, and I didn't get her anything...gifts came when I felt like giving them, and they were still very nice.

And now for some helpful stuff: from the sound of things, she'd like to be spoiled, so anything with a big name like Tiffany's or Bulgari should please her, but if you really want to get her something that's worth the money you're spending, find a nice, but small private jeweler, and go platinum. She probably won't expect it, and not too many people of a young age get platinum, so that should shut her up nicely.

Other than that, please, please, please don't get her the usual gold heart emblem on a necklace with a dinky diamond in the middle. Too normal, won't surprise her if she's expecting to be surprised. The new "past, present, future" necklaces are decent, with the 3 diamonds, in different sizes...they have ones as cheap as 2 or 3 hundred.

Well, she isn't wanting anything; I think it would just make her jump with joy if she saw that. I really don't have that much money so she knows she can't expect miracles out of me. I really didn't mean that she said "OH DANIEL I WANT A PLATINUM RING!" She never said that, she never hinted it. I just want to see her face when she finds out I got her something really nice.

Go to a jewelry store that IS NOT A CHAIN. Tell them what your problem is and what your spending limit is. They'll have plenty to show you, and you just sit there and look till you like something.

Seriously. I've had high maintenance girlfriends and they go nuts when they see that box. You could probably take a dump in a Tiffany's box and give it to her and she'd still be ecstatic.
