Ultra ATA/100 HD

I have an Ultra ATA/100 HD, and an ASUS K7M 266 motherboard. For some reason I think my HD isn't running at the ATA speed because when the compute boots it never says anything about ultra ATA. Is there anyway I can check to make sure? I'm assuming my motherboard has build in controller because it didn't come with a card and it said it was Ultra ATA/100.

you mean a7m266 , if so yes it has built in ATA100 .

and probably your HD is running at that spec.

What OS are you running? In w9x you need to enable DMA check box in the properties of the dirve under control panel.

If you are running w2k. You will need to install SP2 then enable DMA to take advantage of ATA100.
