Ultra-DMA/133

I was going to buy a new hard drive and I figured I would buy the most up to date one I could. My only concern is, will an Ultra-DMA/133 hard drive still be compatible with my Ultra-DMA/33 motherboard?

As far as I remember, the different standards were always backward compatible to work with slower IDE channels, I justed wanted to make sure this is still the case with 133.

Yes, it is still compatible.

As a general rule, all ATA (IDE) drives support the standard under which they were made as well as all earlier versions of the ATA standard. In other words, newer drives will work at whatever is the standard of your system.
