Unable to play mpegs

A few months ago I tried playing one of my many mpeg movies and to my dismay it would not load, not it WMP, not i Winamp, not in creative player, nothing. I then decided to try them in iTunes and low and behold they all work, very choppy mind you but they played. I updated all video drivers, audio drivers, uninstalled iTunes, WinDVD, winamp, and all playback software, reinstalled WMP and still nothing. .wmv files and .mp3 files play fine, I figured the files might be corrupt so I downloaded other .mpeg and same error. WMP is giving me a C00D11B1 error. I noticed that the problem seemed to have occured right around the time I installed iTunes 7, but again I uninstalled it and reinstalled WMP and still cannot play .mpeg. Any thoughts?

Do a Google search for the K-Lite codec pack. That pack installs just about every codec that you will need to play videos on your PC. See if that helps.

Or just use VLC.

VLC and classic both work awesome, WMP is still crap, oh well, I like these better, thanks.

also DL avicodec. Jsut google for it.
