Yup it crashed for me too at the beginning I think in act 1. The funny thing is my ps4 spit the game disc out. Then it started making weird noises.

It has done this before. I had put it in rest mode one night and I woke up in the middle of the night to the ps4 home screen jingle in the living room. It seems that it had turned itself back on.

I did purchase the extra warranty when I bought the console but I'm sure it's over now.

So far the graphics are very well done. Best I've seen so far and the views at some points are amazing. The gameplay is from what I remember just like the old games. I feel Nathan moves a bit quicker now and there isn't any odd quirks.

I'm playing on the next to hardest difficulty with all the assist things off. It is kind of slow in the beginning and I got up to the fourth chapter I think. But I did skip most of the cuscenes because I was just curious of what was happening next.

I'll start it over another day when I can sit down and take my time. So far it's pretty much what I was expecting and I feel its worth it so far. There is a bit more action in certain areas which is nice but the beginning also has a lot of platforming. I need to spend more time exploring too.

What's funny is that most big name games are all open world which is great but it can get tiring. Getting a great linear game like this is awesome as I don't have to worry about doing 100 side quests and just play.

I preordered yesterday and just realized I don't have my PS4 hooked up anymore, so I decided to watch a walkthrough. Just watching the first hour I'm glad I'm not actually playing this. I hate the combat in Uncharted. Unfortunately this means I have to watch the person playing struggle through the puzzles. Looks nice though.

The first hour of the game is pretty slow. There isn't much combat either in that time frame. It does not differ than any of the last uncharted games. I kind of want to play the other three over now because I don't remember much of what happened.

This is one of those games people will either love or hate kind of like the last of us.

By the way I hope now that naughty dawg is done with uncharted that they are working on last of us 2.

i think it's safe to say that if you liked uncharted 1-3, you will like 4. if you didn't like 1-3, you won't like 4. it looks as though it is exactly more of the same, which is great in my book.

I was thinking the same thing about playing the other ones. I never got into 3, but have the collection for the PS4. Might be better to beat 3 before really jumping into this one.

Overall, my wife and I agree that the game is an amazing experience. She watched me play for 2 hours last night and enjoyed every minute. I like how they introduce you to the mechanics while actually telling the story. Even little things like being able to wrap the cables around the sunken truck axle and not just hitting a button is a nice nice touch.

I only played Uncharted 2 and thought the story and scenery were amazing. However the controls and combat prevented me from wanting to play the 3rd one and likely this one.

I thought the controls were equally clunky in Last of Us but that one was so good, I may just put up with the controls if / when they release a new one.

eh already regretting buying this. I played up until just past the first *spoiler* part.

the game is either bashing triangle, or bashing x while jumping freely up a wall without having to hesitate at all. and I forget how bad the shooting mechanics are.

whoops

I think if I can find the collection cheaper I'll play them again. I like how they introduce you to Nathan's character and build a better understanding of him because they didn't do that in the last 3 games.

Bestbuy has the collection on sale for $20 currently. Guess it's $18 if you have gamers club.

Cool didn't realize that. Its on back order and no local stores seem to have it even near my work area. Odd that it's selling out all of a sudden.

Edit: Found one store by my company that has it and was able to order it and pick it up today for $15. Well worth it if you are a fan. Thanks for the deal heads up!

Yea I got the Collectors Edition delivered yesterday. I'm going to play through 2 and 3 remastered before touching this. Already beat 1 a few weeks ago.

The remastered ones are certainly good enough looking imo, and I'd much rather maintain 60fps with these graphics. 30fps is gonna suck, maybe I should wait for PS4.5 or PS5 to play at 60fps...

idk what the fps are on this game but it looks incredible. you're basically "playing" it for the story

I will have to try the collection and see what they remastered. I didn't notice any hiccups in 4 at all. Besides my random ps4 spit out of the disc at one point.

you hate the combat in uncharted but preordered it anyways.

okay...

It gets old after awhile, and I havent picked up a controller in years. I still have Uncharted 3, The Last of Us and Uncharted Collection for PS4 still shrink wrapped sitting on a shelf. I was going to still play it till I saw gameplay video yesterday and was reminded of the combat.

^ I'll but it. PM if serious about shrink wrapped and not going to play it.

No crashes for me. Yes the first bit is slow, has some back history which is fine with me. Goes into his childhood, etc. I am enjoying it, we all sat on the couch as I played it. My wife said it was like watching a movie. She was a nervous wreck though from all the heights and jumping.

Now that I got the collection for ps4 as well I'll play those first since it's been so many years.

I don't mind the back story at all, I've always wondered about his brother and how he got involved with those other treasure hunters.

I thought the small section with crash bandicoot was a nice touch too.

Yup, I'm done with mainstream game now. I'm starting to trust my instinct and it pay off. Didn't buy Uncharted 4. Now I just play import titles from Japan and no more American games.

That's a shame because you'll miss out on great games like Fallout

I have fallout and I haven't gotten very far. I like RPG games but I can't quite understand why I have a hard time in fallout getting anywhere or leveling up vs doing fine in my own in the witcher 3.

Fallout is a good one and you can literally spend days just exploring and going back and forth.

I haven't played it in a while it's just sitting there and I also got the survival guide.

Played a bit last night, into chapter 3. One thing I'm glad to see (and I don't know if the last one had this option) is a "snap to enemy" aiming option. I was never a fan of the gunplay in the first one but I finished it. The 2nd one I never finished because of the shooting, and I never touched the 3rd one. With the snap to enemy enabled it acts basically like GTA5, which IMO is just fine for what I want out of this game.

I'll probably plow through it and trade it in within a month.

I should turn that on, because the aiming blows

that's if I turn the game on again

Does that make it easier? Or is it just smoother? I don't mind the challenge of having it off.

I beat Fallout 4 but haven't tried any of the DLC even though I bought the season pass. I put over 100hrs into it already which is a lot for me, I prefer games under 15hrs.

Really... the gunplay is what I did not like about the 2nd one. The cover mechanics just didn't seem to work all that well. If it's improved or a lot better, I might consider it.

Yeah your too cool to play stuff that is popular I guess. If you don't like the game fine but your comment is something a teenage hipster would say while riding his skateboard down the street.
