Unexplained Shutting Off !

Hello All ... I have an Abit AT7 Max 2 with an AMD XP 2400+ Running Win XP Pro, 2 - 80GB Maxtor ATA 133 HD in Raid 0 with 1GB Crucial DDR. Whenever I boot up approximately 45 seconds after the boot process completes my machine turns itself off unless I actively use it immedately when booting completes. ACPI is enabled and my temps are good. Power is set to Aleays On. Any Ideas ? This is driving me nuts !

Try clearing the BIOS.

maybe its going into hibernation mode?

I would guess that something is tripping the suspend mode.

That, or you may have faulty power regulators. When the voltage dips too low, the system protect trips and shuts down.

It may be serious, or it may not be.

Actually someone in another forum may have solved my problem. It only shuts down the first time I boot up not on reboot. Someone said I should move my CPU fan to header 2 because I have the Automatic sghutoff enabled if the CPU overheats. Apparently if the fan speed is too low the bios thinks the fan stopped thereby shutting down ! Hope this is the problem.
