Uninstalling Windows Xp to .....

This is the problem : I have a friend who had windows ME in his computer, it worked for him it really did, till he found winXP(Xtreme Problems) so basically he just upgrade his OS, he did not format o made a clean install he just upgraded, problem is he didn't made a backup copy of his hard drive before upgrading and now he wan's to go back to his previous config with windows ME, practically uninstall WinXP so WinME comes Back...
I have to do it cuz he knows s%#t about computers.
help me out

hmm, I believe if he made an upgrade from ME then he should be able to uninstall XP in the add/remove section in control panel!

That's the thing it does not appear in the add remove thing in the control panel

then I think he chose a fresh install of XP over ME instead of an upgrade when installing!

If he buggered it up let him fix it - otherwise he'll coming running to you everytime he does something to his machine. If he knows s%#t about computers - then all the more reason why he should fix it - you never know - he might learn something new.

hmmm........no need to be harsh. Thats what these posts are for. It seems you're mad when you're not the one that needs to fix.

Upgraded you say? Could that mean that The HD might somewhat have DOS still installed? format /q C:
