The last person I'm going to take girl advice from is another guy. Someone has seen Tom Cruise's character too many times in Magnolia and has decided to emulate him. Sheesh.

Your web site is not going to give these guys confidence, nor is it going to give them self-esteem and social skills. These are things you learn throughout life, much as you have. You cannot read about and then have these things.

It also helps not to have that desperate "I need pussy now" look in your eyes when you talk to women.

Mainly success with women boils down to being in the right place at the right time... plain and simple. Of course, taking advantage of those opportunities is crucial.

Ah! Not so much a "Yay UnixFreak" as it was a "F*** the rest of you all", eh?

BTW, UnixFreak is allright - like all of us he's right on some, wrong on others. Unlike most people though, he is blunt - which stands out in a crowd.

BoberFett,

You and I both. Remember the book "How To Pick Up Girls" that used to be advertised in the back of some of the, uh, "finer" magazines?

Unixfreak is right, to an extent. Try reading articles (yeah, they repeat every couple of months-but the pictures change )in maxim or stuff, and they make the same points he does-girls sometimes like the jerk, the one who can stand up for his dignity, etc.

However, that's not relevant to every part of society. Those articles usually refer to bars, people who want one night stands, and so on.

If this guy wants to spend his time picking up girls who are gold diggers (or, in his variation, bigger gold diggers), why complain? Just keep working on meaningful relationships, do what you feel comfortable with, and watch people like unixfreak to learn which girls can't be trusted-believe it or not, some can. go out and find one, or try unixfreak's method for a night-it'll probably work, but you might feel bad about it in the morning. if you do, congrats, you have a conscience.

The difference is, I am blunt and honest, no matter how much the truth hurts. Most of those "how to pick up girls" books were a scam, full of outright lies, just to make money. I wont make a dime off my site, thats not why I am doing it.

Somethingwitty, you are right, but look at the demographic here, of AT users. While rather broad, how many people here are under 30? a lot. And why have a relationship when you are young? Being 18, 19, and tied down? thats ridicoulous. You should be having fun. You should be a strong enough person to not NEED somebody to survive, if you can't be happy alone, you wont ever be happy. Dependency is not a good thing. Do you know why so many marriages fail in america? Because people are on some mission to "shack up" and tie themselves down as quickly as possible, and then, as they get older, they find out what they missed out on, and resent the person they are with. Rather than have fun, and wait until they are done having fun, they rush right out and get married and procreate, and kill the fun before it starts, and regret it later. And I am an idiot, because I dont do that? Come on. Lets be realistic. I speak from experience, having banged a couple "soccer moms" who regretted settling down to soon, and were miserable, and came to me to make them feel young again. Wouldnt have happened if they had got it out of their systems, instead of letting their inner sl*t rule them in their younger years.

<<Not really. But I know what works for me, and what works for my friends. Everything I advise on, I have lived. If I tell you to avoid a mistake, its most likely because I made it. I'm not perfect, which is the only reason I know these things. Dont hate me for explaining a system that has been in place long before I was born. I just figured out how to "play the game" and I learned by failure. When you look at things from a different angle, sometimes they become more clear.>>

<<Thank you for your support mikefromwa, you may enjoy the site I am working on, that should be finished soon, The Get More Girls Site its advice you can love or hate, your choice.>>

Wow! Do you also know the secrets to making money in real estate? And if I order in the next ten minutes, do I also get (included for free) a can of Ronco spray-on hair and a food dehydrator? All for the low, low price of $39.95?

How can I resist?

MereMortal, you sound like someone who falls for that sort of thing a lot. I'm sorry.

while you make some valid points that apply to some people, your main flaw is that you imply that your way is the only "right" way and everyone should listen to you... being 21 and engaged i have heard many of the below anti-commitment propoganda but it's all from people who have their own reservations (read: fears) regarding commitment... every person and every relationship is different and you should just accept that instead of dogmatically touting your version of what one should think and do... good luck on the website... there are plenty of guys out there who are clueless when it comes to women/relationships, and while this site won't change that maybe they'll get laid and stop posting here about how to talk to girls...

<< Can't we all just get laid? >>

obviously not - that's the point of the website
>>

Heh...

The last thing a 17 yr old needs to worry about is getting pussy. Anyway, there's a difference in just "getting laid" and getting absolutely wore out by some chick. The former is usually the cheap one-nighter and the latter is something with a little more emotion attached.

Explain to me why you would need to be married at your age? Its not fear, its good sense. a girl I dated in high school, I wouldnt even consider dating now- people change. When does the most change in your life take place? 0-25. Why get married? why settle down? If you love each other so much now, is that going to change when you are 30? So wait till then. If you dont procreate, or marry that person, or even move in with them, if things dont work out, you book. If you "seal" it, in any of these ways, you are screwed when you want to leave. I am just advocating fun. As much fun as you can have. Thats what life is all about. If you dont like fun, or you cannot live without someone in your life, dont listen to me.
