Update on Jeremy Allford?

To be up front with anyone that knows, does anyone currently know the status of Jeremy Allford? Theallfords.com domain lasped about a month ago, and the site itself had not been updated since June or so last I checked while it was still working. Has his cancer finally gotten the best of him, or is he still putting up the good fight? Thanks

PS For those of you asking WTH, Jeremy Allford is one of the oldest hardware reviewers of the internet age, having seen Operation 3dfx and beyond. He was diagnosed with inoperable brain cancer in 2000, and has been fighting for life ever since. Among notable things, Anand did a couple of AGN hardware shows, and then in 2000 auctioned off some items to raise some money for Jeremy

I remember being at AGN before I ever came here. I actually started out at CPU-Central.com -> AGN -> Anandtech.

I'd like to know how he's doing as well.

Yeah he posted here a few times. I talked to him many times on AIM. I had a cousin who had the same condition

i talked to him earlier this year on icq, after that i didn't see him on again until i lost my icq list a few months back. i hadn't looked at his site in awhile, something today reminded me and i see that it's gone.

i'm going to dig thru my backup cds and see if i can find his icq number, he probably won't remember me (he didn't remember me day to day, horrible thing to live with i imagine) but he always enjoyed hearing from folks who he knew back in the day. if you hear anymore virge please let the rest of us know, there are a couple of us around that would appreciate knowing.

when i did talk to him he said things were going better. not great, or even good, but better at least. and he was really bored. really really bored.

wow I actually remember the auctions, but back then I was on another forum(maximum pc) but they linked here...or maybe it was dualboot. Either way I was too poor to buy anything in the auctions back then.

Same, I was on AGN back then also.

Hope he's still doing ok and able to be with his children and wife.

He first ran Operation 3Dfx. I used to visit it every day. It was one of the first few game/hardware news/reviews/forum sites I remember, then they all sprung up. He used to do a lot of video reviews I liked to watch.
