I am really excited to finally be back to work.
I was offered $44k/year with full benefits.
It's $2k more than I was making at my last job so I am geeked.

Did you check Salary.com to see if the salary was appropriate for your location, title and responsibilities?
I checked a few other sites (actually my wife did while I was off work) to see what I COULD be making and it was anywhere between $36k and $50k depending on what role I took in a company (Admin or tech) so it would seem I'm just about right.
Here in Michigan the economy is pretty bad for the jobless (which I assume means it's the same everywhere) so I was just pumped to be the one out of 200+ applicants to get the job.
EDIT:/ and the family is pretty happy.... the wife is especially happy that I won't be home durring the day anymore.
