I am going to upgrade from an old athlon thunderbird at 800 mghz. I was thinking of either going am2 route and getting an athlon 3800x2 bundle or perhaps getting a pentium D805 bundle. another possibility is a socket 939 bundle. I have an old matrox card that i will continue using. i do not play games and use the computer mainly for office type applications I do not want to break the bank 200 tops. which option would offer the best price performance ratio and perhaps good upgrade path.
