Upgrade ram or CPU?

I currently own a Dell XPS 1330 laptop and I'm kinda stuck at what to upgrade; cpu or ram?
Specs:
Intel Core 2 duo 5450 1.67ghz
2gb PC2-5300 SODIMM
120GB SATA2 HD

Any help would be much appreciated.

Why do you feel the need to upgrade? What do you do on the laptop besides net/word processing/movies? Any way, RAM is the way to go, add a gig or two.

definately get more ram if your runnin' 64bit, but 32 bit 2 more gigs will help you just as much

yeah i'm gonna go with adding 2gb making it 3gb, what does vista bottle neck at 4gb right?

question is whats the bottleneck.
bring up task manager.
if you have plenty of free memory then its not that.
laptop drives can be slow. esp older ones. much of the time thats the bottleneck
