i have the mentioned modem i just got from off a forum and for some reason it wont dial up to the internet.
on the back of the modem (i am sure you are familiar with this modem) it has two modem cable ports, i have tried plugging my modem cable into both of them, but neither of them seems to work.
i get the message 'no dial tone' which is quite confusing. i am on the internet via my normal internal 56k modem and it works just fine, so i know it's nothing to do with a loose cable or something.
on my normal modem i only have the one modem port to plug the cable into, on the US robotics modem do i have to have something else plugged into it for it to work?
this sounds to me like a real newbie question but i cant be bothered to deal with, i've had enough of 56k modems lately, what with not being able to play games online i am getting really frustrated.
