USB 2.0 working at 330Kbps?

Isnt USB 2.0 supposed to have speeds of 480 Mbps? I am downloading pictures from my camera and the speed it shows is 335 Kbps !!! It is so slow it is driving me nuts! (yes, everything is USB 2.0 - the PC, camera & the cable...) Whats wrong with this world?

A lot of cameras aren't capable of USB2.0 with their built in USB port. Sounds like your camera is only doing USB1.0 (I'm guessing you meant 335KBps, which is around 2.5mbps, which is realistic for a USB 1.0 device). If you're 100% sure your camera is capable of USB2.0, see if there's a setting somewhere on the camera to change its transfer speed. If it can't do USB2.0, to get your photos off of it faster, buy a USB 2.0 card reader (or a card reader to install in your floppy bay, etc.).
