USB Header for ECS K7S5A?

I'm looking for a USB Header that actually works in the ECS mobo, i had one from an epox board, didnt work, a friend got the 10 pin one from new egg, that didnt work either, and now i had to be on a hub, whereas i would prefer just to have a header in the back or, possibly find a way for the 2 front usb ports in my case to be used (the wires for the front usb just dont seem to line up for the header on the mobo.

Well, hoping you haven't already fried the traces, the official pinout is here.

Get an Antec EasyUSB and plug the two 5-pin connectors into the motherboard with the red wires at the end of the connector that's closer to the back of the case. I have one and it works fine on my K7S5A (revision 1, with onboard LAN).

i am afraid if you try that many option, you may actually fired you USB connection. I did and the board is still running well.
if u need help on the this i can help. give info on your front USB wire (+5v, +D, -D, -5V, ground, .... or color, .... 10 wires or 9 wires or 8 wires?) and we can go over this.


As for product, in the cableclub.com, any of the
6B439-B or the 6A439-A should work. They have a $1 on pricewatch.com but the product seems no the same. may have to call in. buy any said 2X5.

I saw my local Best buy have USB connector for sale (forget the price, likely $12 or something)

follow the link for the official pinout. note the 1 and 2 on the picture of USB port. line up with the +5v or red. and the rest follow down. pin 9 on left is empty which is okay. (even pin 10 is not connected will be ok too, so u can get a 2X4)

Another option, if you fried the header, would be to get a PCI USB 2-port card.

Evercase 5v+(2) ECS USB pin 2
Evercase D- (1) ECS USB pin 3

Evercase D+ (2) ECS USB pin 6
Evercase Gnd ECS USB pin 7

i have both, but no build into each other.
I will say YES, they are correct.
the 1, 3, 5, 7 are one straight line on the board.

Isman, will either of those options from cableclub work on my Biostar M7VIF?

It's USB 2.0 but i'm told that the header is pretty much the same.

Here is the config:

1: +5v 2: +5V
3: USBP2- 4: USBP3-
5: USBP2+ 6: USBP3+
7: Ground 8: Ground
9: KEY 10: NC
