Hello,

I am stumped.

I am running XP pro service pack 1 is installed (clean install)
an over clocked 1.6a in a P4PE
I have a Geforce 2
512 HyperX mem w/ somewhat agressive setting
Antec True 430
A Belkin USB2 Card
Sony SV55 photo printer
HP 990c
Sony 717
Kodak 315 web cam

Here is the history
I have now tried two mother boards, a new powersupplys, new memory, new USB2 card and I am still having spontaneous and random reboots when I install programs and plug or unplug USB devices. I also loose my mouse after a few hour and have to plug and unplug it to get it to work. After a reboot I get the error reporting tool telling me there was an unknown device driver error.

Here is the event viewer desc.

Any thoughts would be great, the only things that haven't changes are the USB devices and video card.

If USB device specifically requires a USB Universal Host Controller
it may not work with the Belkin Card (I believe the Kodak Cam does require it).

The card uses Open Host Controller Interface controller.

Are you using a POWERED USB HUB?

With everything that you are plugging in, it very
well could be a low power issue causing the resets
(indicated by it happening on multiple systems)

Do you have this problem when at default speed?

Any thoughts would be great, the only things that haven't changes are the USB devices and video card.
Maybe you should try different USB device/s (borrow if possible).

It may have to do with the PCI clock and AGP settings, I have been playing with my DVD writer today and it too caused some reboots. I ahven't lowered my frontside bus in a long time so, no I haven't factored that out but, I think at this point it might be my video card is being finicky. Ever since I overclocked this system, I have had to run the AGP voltage higher than default. Maybe the card has decided to rebel. Any thought on that. The system temp is pretty good at 47c, the system memory is 560mhz, that should be okay I think(?).

Thanks Jrouss

Turns out it must have been an IRQ problem. I removed the USB2 card I have and haven't had a problem since. Anyone know, are these cards always this sensitive? I ask because I have tried two different cards and I believe every slot I could and still had problems.
