This has been being talked about/built/sold for a few years now.
I’m wondering who wants to live in a place like that and who wants to live in close quarters without windows during Covid?
Interesting use for an odd old structure but I really don’t imagine anyone with money wanting to live there, at least for a long term. Maybe some wealthy dummy will buy as a just in case type novelty thing but I can’t escape thinking it will turn out like these random luxury condos that are above a busy mall. Sounds great at first until you realize there is tons of noise, tons of traffic, your parking space can get taken by a dumb-dumb and living inside a mall sort of sucks. Now your luxury condos either get their rules changed to allow rentals and it becomes a rental business which again doesn’t justify why you bought a high end place or the value plummets and it becomes old people or first time buyer property once again defeating the purpose of why you purchased the place.
I can imagine a couple of crazy peppers would ruin life in a place like this.

I would presume places like this would be purchased by the same mega-rich anxious types who have beeen buying bolt-hole homes in New Zealand. Curious whether any of them will actually move in immediately, or if it will largely sit sold but unoccupied?

We should wait until the first actual residents venture out again for the first time, then get a large crowd to gather outside dressed as either apes or zombies.

$5k a month association fee. Maybe my above scenario won’t happen.
Appears to be run more like a hotel where you buy the room but management makes all the decisions.
Dude who is selling them appears to be in control of all decisions. Seems like a sucky deal and a highly risky investment since you have little control over what happens to the place.

What's most disturbing to me is the people involved have invested ungodly amounts of money not, to improve their or others lives but, in maintaining their status quo. It's hard for me to imagine such an incredible lack of imagination.
